I have a very simple theory: bloggers with an ever-growing email list are making much more money compared to bloggers with no email list. Therefore I decided to experiment my theory with two polls at the same time. In the first one, I want to learn whether you are using an email auto-responser service or not. If you use an email auto-responder service, you don’t have to join the second poll. If you don’t use any email auto-responder service, please also join the second one and honestly tell me how much money do you earn blogging in a month?
I have discussed how powerful an email list is in previous posts. You better start building an email list in the early days of your blogging. Once you build up a good subscriber base to your email list, you can monetize it in similar techniques as your blog. You may advocate products as an affiliate, sell advertising, sell your own products or just use it to foster relations.
If you don’t tell your visitors why they should subscribe to your mail list, honestly your email list won’t grow so quickly. You need to show the real value to your readers first before expecting them to subscribe to your list. There are thousands of mail lists on the Internet, why should they prefer yours?
