Today I read a great blog post titled The Evolution of Blogging by Om Malik. According to Om, blogging needs to evolve because the nature of content sharing or publishing have changed drammatically. Services like Twitter and FriendFeed have made content sharing easier. But the blogging platforms like WordPress are still way behing this change. I certainly agree with Om Malik.
Om’s post remind me that since very long time I did not publish any post to my blog. I was on a holiday. Well, frankly speaking, for a problogger almost everyday is a holiday if you are well organized. I consciously stopped and thought about the evolution of Search For Blogging for a while. Finally I decided to focus more on blog monetization, problogging issues and SEO during the post-summer season.

There is a saying : ‘Think global, act local’. I did the same. 3 months ago I launched www.profesyonelblogcu.com (‘problogger’ in Turkish). It has become so popular in such a short period of time that I will be launching Mert’s Blog Academy (‘Mert’in Blog Akademisi’ in Turkish) next week, a membership and blog coaching program for Turkish bloggers. Nowadays I am very busy with the preparation of the program, that is why I can not post so often.
Let’s turn the saying upside down: How about ‘Act local, think global’?
I got becomeaproblogger.com domain, and hopefully will be launching Become A Problogger coaching program within the next 3-4 months period. Will keep you updated about the progress of both programs…

I have read an interesting article at The Wall Street Journal’s website written by Mark Penn titled America’s Newest Profession: Bloggers for Hire. According to Mark, there are over 20 million bloggers in USA, with 1.7 million profiting from the work, and 452,000 of those using blogging as their primary source of income. Back in this week I conducted a poll titled Poll:Which Email Autoresponder Service Do You Use? My assumption was very simple:bloggers with an email list are making much more money compared to bloggers with no email list.
From the results I can clearly see that majority of the bloggers who do not use any email auto-responder service are making less than $10 per month. Read the rest of this entry »

If you want to become a problogger or make money with your blog, you need to spend some money to special blogging and Internet marketing tools. You can not merely rely on your blog’s own performance. It is more or less like investing generated money to grow your business. I call these tools as “problogger’s emergency kit”. Without them, you have little chance to grow your online income.
