Blogging Zoom

What is Blogging Zoom ?

Probably you have never heard of Blogging Zoom before. It is a social bookmarking site like Digg, Plugim, and many more. It was launched in Public Beta on 1st of November, 2007. What makes Blogging Zoom so special is that after you submit your blog entries, you are promised to get better search engine placement.

Blogging Zoom is a place where bloggers can share content that they and other bloggers have written. Blogging Zoom is the perfect place to go for people that are tired of the mainstream media and content. The users of Blogging Zoom determine which content is valuable and which content isn’t. ‘Zooming’ or voting positively for a post or article will give it more exposure and with enough Zooms, your content will hit the front page to be showcased to the masses.

I have never seen such a promise before from another social bookmarking site. It is too early to comment, but if Blogging Zoom keeps its promise, it will eventually become the most popular social bookmarking site in blogosphere.

Personally i use Stumble and Digg quite often. Stumble works well for my blog, drives good traffic. Digg is neither working for everyday bloggers, nor helping on SEO of blog posts.

Blogging Zoom can help bloggers on SEO, and it is completely open for blogs. Access of any website is not allowed. The service is free and people can either submit their own posts or their favorite posts around the blogosphere.

For your easy guidance, i signed up with Blogging Zoom yesterday. My first submission have been zoomed by 7 times since yesterday. I got some decent traffic from Blogging Zoom on the first day. From their blog, i learnt that i will be gaining better search engine rankings by sticking to tips herebelow:

Killing it on the Blogging Zoom

Blogging Zoom

  • There are some users who are getting 100 unique visitors via direct results of search engine traffic. These submissions were written with keywords in mind.

I quoted this from Blogging Zoom Blog for you to understand what is a submission with keywords in mind :

A great example of a submission that pulled insane amount of search traffic is this one made by Dax: Manny Ramirez On Jay Leno. If you look at the description that was used you won’t be surprised that it ranked really well for any search related to Manny’s appearance on Jay Leno:

Manny Ramirez on Jay Leno? Everyone knows that Manny Ramirez has always been shy with the media, but he apparently made an appearance on Jay Leno last night and looked like the mayor of Boston.

For those of you that have always been curious about Manny but haven’t heard him speak that much, his appearance on Leno should satisfy your curiosity. He talks about his love for cars, the curse of the bambino and some other very interesting things.

I personally never expected to see Manny Ramirez on Jay Leno, not in a million years!

You’ll notice that this description has ‘Manny Ramirez’ in it three times, but still flows well and doesn’t seem spammish at all. You will also notice that ‘Manny Ramirez on Jay Leno’ appears a few times in this description, but Dax found a way to make it still sound great. This submission brought around 1,000 searches from Google and pushed a good percentage of that traffic to the post submitted.

  • Adding more tags can also help your submissions to get ranked for more keywords. Just think about the way people might search your submissions. Be innovative, there can be hundreds of ways people might search for your content.
  • Make Blogging Zoom friends to be zoomed. Don’t quit Blogging Zoom right after you submit your content. Zoom other submissions, and comment on other user’s submissions. Sooner or later you will rock Blogging Zoom!
  • Titles are very important. Make them as original as possible. Here are the most popular ones so far in Blogging Zoom:
    • StumbleUpon – The “Super Stumble” Traffic Tip
    • Blogging Zoom Bringing The Man Down
    • Money-Hungry Kumiko Acts Like Blogging is a Business | Pajama Professional
    • 35 Guaranteed Ways to Increase Your RSS Subscribers
    • Attention Websmasters – Do you socialize? Want to make it easier?
    • 5 technology disasters, horrors and tragedies
    • The Life of a Black Hatter

The headlines of the submissions are both original and innovative. If the headline is not catchy, then the submission has no chance. If you are not good at writing good headlines, then i suggest you to read 10 Sure-Fire Headline Formulas That Work is an article on CopyBlogger that can help you how to write great headlines.

Conclusion

All in all, I am glad to see that finally there is a social bookmarking site which can drive targeted traffic to our blogs coming directly from search engine results. I am quite sure Blogging Zoom will rock, and we will be seeing a lot more of it around the Internet very soon. I just wanted to remind you that you may be one of the very first ones to get in if you sign up now!
