How To Prepare Your Blog For The Next Google PageRank Update?

- Get Blog Buzz software and explore WordPress blogs with the ‘nofollow’ tag in the comments field. It will save your time and effort from searching for blogs manually to build backlinks by leaving comments on.
- Benefit from the free seo tools provided by the SEO Tools Shop.

These are all good basics, apply a site map. Optimise your keywords.
I agree with all the following. If you a good designer a CSS gallery would benefit like CSS Mania, CSS beauty and many others.
Here are some tips, I can share that I’ve gained over the past month.
1) Deep link for your blog posts internally. Link to other pages within your blog. Link sites to other related posts within your blog.
2) Link exchange with other bloggers.
3) Guest post on other blogs. Guest posting is a good way to gain links.

Writing great content or breaking news that will attract natural links and in return increase PR. Without good content a blog will fail!
