Imagine one morning you wake up and start your computer to write your best post (this is my never-ending dream!) while drinking your coffee. You open your favorite browser, and prepare to log-on to your WordPress admin panel.
All of a sudden you realize that there is something wrong. You completely lost all your posts, Plugins, received comments. The outcome of hundreds of hours of dedication and hard work has gone!
Don’t worry; as i mentioned at the beginning it is just a dream, or a wake up call for those of you who has never backed up his/her WordPress blog before.
One of the things i love about WordPress as a blogging platform is Plugins. They extend the functionality of WordPress significantly. There are thousands of Plugins available to fix your WordPress problems.
When you face with a problem related to WordPress, just name the problem, and then search Google’ Blog Search. In our case, type “How to back up WordPress” in the search form.
I use below Plugin to back up my WordPress since the beginning.
You can easily download the latest version of WP-DB-Backup. Here’s the instructions and FAQ on using it. This backup will save the backup file to your web-host by default. You can also configure it to receive backup copies of your blog via e-mail. Please do not close your browser when it is processing.
Don’t forget to backup your WordPress blog regularly. The amount of time you will spend in a month will be less than building your blog from scratch.

So what is the secret code then?
Ctrl + Alt + V Just press that key combination when you are in the “Write” section of your wordpress blog. The text editor will then look like this :
Add a Simple Forum to Your WordPress Blog
Sounds great, ha ? It can easily increase the interaction with you and your readers. Did you know that there is a plugin to do this ? It is called RS Discuss.
Installing RS Discuss is very easy. All you need is to upload the plugin file to your WordPress plugin directory and then activate it. You can even add administrators, moderators in your WordPress forum, just goto the RS Discuss menu and edit the user settings. Really cool!

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is a very broad topic and there are thousands of blog posts about it. However most of these posts are not reliable. Where should we refer when it comes to SEO ? A new free report has been released today. It is called the The Attention Age Doctrine and it’s by Rich Schefren.
Rich teaches about successful business with his coaching program. I found his report on Web 2.0 Marketing quite informative. It is good food for thought indeed. I am quite motivated on blogging after reading the report.
What is Web 2.0?
The report gives us the essentials of Web 2.0 Marketing. Have you ever wondered what Web 2.0 is ? Let’s have a look at what Wiki says for it:
“Web 2.0 refers to a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services — such as social-networking sites, wikis, and folksonomies — which aim to facilitate creativity, collaboration, and sharing between users.”
I guess it is more clear now. Web 2.0 is all the great tools we have online now to communicate and collaborate with people; like Facebook, Digg, Stumble Upon, and blogs and blogging platforms of course!
What it in it for me?
The report talks about the importance of social communities and how businesses have to deal with them in a better way to be successful in the new Web 2.0 era.
Report also mentions that people are changing their attitude towards who they trust. The number one trusted source now is people just like you. This can be a trusted blogger in our case.
As bloggers, we all should aim to be viewed as a “trusted friend” by our readers, which is why this report and Web 2.0 Marketing is important for us.
Rich says that if you can establish your blog as a leader or even just build a small readership, you will have lots of options for making money. Cool!
Download the Report
I strongly suggest you to download the report. It will take a few minutes of you, yet you will feel yourself happy after reading it as a blogger. You may realize that why you need to be on top of Web 2.0 as soon as possible. Also you will learn the tactics and strategies on how you can do this.
Click here to download the report: Web 2.0 Marketing
I certainly agree with what Rich says. We all should learn how to survive in Web 2.0 world. This is essential for ultimate success in making money blogging.
What do you think? Knowledge grows when it is shared. I will be pleased to receive your comments after reading the report.
