Why Do Some Bloggers Make More Money Than Majority Of Bloggers?

take action 300x263 Why Do Some Bloggers Make More Money Than Majority Of Bloggers?

Today I bet the most common question in the minds of bloggers is: “How come some bloggers make a fortune while majority can not even make $20 per month?” In this post I answer this question based on my three years of problogging experience.

We can not say that these bloggers are smarter than the others. But they are all passionate about blogging and making money with blogs. They both are very good at setting goals and getting things done.

They all have a business mindset. When you analyze their past, almost all of them were successfully located their blogs in the centre of their businesses. They used the popularity of their blogs to grow their business or to sell their own products.

They all built a very good reader base by motivating their readers to sign up to their mail lists. They regularly send  email newsletters to their subscribers via auto-responder services like Aweber. They all benefit from the viral effect of email newsletters.

Needless to say, but they both are very talented at writing. They can easily trigger their reader’s emotions in their blog posts or newsletters. This is such an huge advantage when it comes to making money with blogs. If you don’t know how to motivate someone when you write, you can not make so much money with blogging.

Each of them are mastered at time management. They don’t spend most of their time when reading other bloggers. Yet  they have very reliable information sources. They monitor the trends in blogging very wisely, and proactively take actions before other bloggers.

If you can not make significant money with your blog today, make a personal appraisal based on above facts. Honestly answer these questions:

  • Am I really passionate about blogging and making money with blogs?
  • What is my ultimate goal for blogging?
  • Do I have a business mindset?
  • Can I launch a blogging product which is not available today?
  • Do I have an email list today?
  • Do I use my email list effectively?
  • Do I send email newsletters to my subscribers?
  • Am I talented at writing and triggering other’s emotions?
  • How can I improve my writing?
  • Am I good at time management?
  • How do I spend my time?
  • Do I spend my time efficiently?
  • Am I a blogger, or just a news reporter?
  • Do I have my own ideas when it comes to blogging?
  • Do I use other’s ideas as my own ideas when blogging?
  • Do I monitor blogging trends today?
  • Do I know the reliable information sources on blogging?

Spend some quality time, and honestly answer these questions. The answers will help you open a new chapter in your blogging career. You will make a mind shift and prepare yourself to make more money with your blog.

Maybe someday when I don’t have so many responsibilities in my life I will look at becoming a professional blogger. The thing is I have to many realistic responsibilities to put on the line.

I make a decent dollar from working with websites and blogging but it’s just not enough to satisfy my needs.

Sure some bloggers are better than others and yes their determination will suggest success when blogging.

I like the detailed list or ways to determine if you could be a successful blogger. I’m guessing you really have to like what you blog about.

If you like what you do for a living I heard it’s less and less like work.

It is absolutely right Brian. I used to work in a full time Marketing job. Honestly speaking, when I was working for that company I never worked as passionately as I am working now as a problogger. I am working for my own company. I spend nearly 12 hours in front of my laptop, but I am happy. It is a kind of anti-aging technique you can easily apply :)

I love how you refer to it as a anti-aging technique. It’s so true!

Mert,

Impressive, it is as simple as that. These questions must be asked by anyone serious about running and maintaining a blogsite.

If you haven’t done so already, answer these questions and keep them somewhere safe, perhaps a binder or notebook. Keep this content with you as you go about your daily tasks; this will ensure that you stay focused and going toward your goals. :) Bravo!

Hey Miguel,

Yeah, it is good to keep them on a notepaper. Just like a roadmap :)

I am almost 36 years old, but I still look like 25. I owe this to blogging :)
