Smowtion: Get Paid Per Impression And Make Your First Dollar

Monetize your site!

It is not so easy for me to understand how majority of the bloggers are still making less than 10$ per month while there are tons of opportunities even for the newbies. Smowtion is yet another blog monetization opportunity for both established and new bloggers. The good thing about this new advertising network is bloggers get paid per impression.

How Smowtion Works?

Smowtion works with CPM, CPC and CPA ad types. The sum of  these three is called eCPM or Effective Cost Per Mille. eCPM is won every thousand impressions.

How To Apply Smowtion?

  • Go to Smowtion
  • Click on create your account.
  • Complete your contact information. Make sure it is accurate that’s where they’ll be sending your money!
  • Add your blogs and websites one by one.
  • Be careful when inserting the tags (i.e. “make money blogging”) related to your blog.
  • Once you’ve pasted Smowtion tags (or banners) on your blog, Smowtion learns about your blog and your readers, which help them optimize your eCPM after a couple of weeks.

Can You insert Smowtion tags on the same page as ads from other ad networks such as Google Adsense?

Even though it is written as compatible with other ad networks like Google Adsense on their website, If you use Google Adsense on your blog,  I strongly suggest you to verify with Google before you insert.

Payments:

There are three types of payments: PayPal, a check mailed to your home, or Smowtion Media Prepaid MasterCard®

Pros:

  • Every pageview counts. It is impossible not to make any money with Smowtion. Thanks to their agreements with other companies, they will always find ads to show on your site. No pageviews will go to waste.
  • The admin panel is well designed and within minutes you’re running advertising.
  • The stats are complete and simple.
  • You get 5% of your referred members’ revenues for 6 months.
  • Advanced tracking options.
  • Backed by excellent customer service. (live chat, etc)

Cons:

  • Fairly new.
  • Still in doubt whether it is fully compatible with Google Adsense or not.
  • You can not personalize the ads (you can still filter the ones you don’t want).

Conclusion:

All in all, Smowtion seems like a golden opportunity for bloggers. Are you still waiting for making your first dollar with your blog? Join Smowtion now and start making money with your blog now!

  1. It says (Smowtion) to click on your country. I can't find United States. Why?

    • Hi Chick, I have just made a live chat with Elana from Snowtion, you can find USA as Estados Unidos. They are Latin based company :)

  2. I would like to know the answer to chick J's question too. Seems strange that one of the contact numbers is in the US, but the United States isn't in the list of countries on the sign up page.

  3. Any news about compatibility with Google Adsense?

    • I haven\\'t checked with Google yet, but quite a lot of my referrals are using Smowtion ads together with Adsense ads, and so far so good.

  4. I don't even have to select country. They have selected for me and the correct one.

  5. I signed up for Smowtion and it looks like a pretty good option to earn some money. Adsense has never been a money-grosser for me and I think there would be quite a few people with the same opinion. The monetization technique – if you want to use Adsense or, not, will entirely depend on your business plan for you blog or, website. My plan actually does not fit for Adsense, but at the same time, Chitika has been a success. So I assume Smowtion should also work well.

  6. Hmm, Im going to use on my website today and see how it goes. Im averaging about 1000 page views a week right now, so hopefully this can help better monetize my blog.

  7. Just signed up to Smowtion, now I'm waiting for my blog to get reviewed. Hope that I'll make my first dollar with Smowtion. Thanks for your review anyway.

  15. I just signed up for Smowtion. I was not lucky with adsense so i will try my luck here at smowtion. My gaming blog has at least 1000 unique visitors per day and about 2,500 daily page views. I will try this one for a month or two if what i can get out from their system.

  16. Smowtion is a kind of scam. I have been using them from the last 4 months. But they never sent me a payment even if it is reached the limit they have mentioned in their email.
I went online with the support person and she said that they will send my payment soon, but they never.

I do not recommend SMOWTION to any of my friends.

  17. I am getting good results with smowtion. I am happy. I joined it only because my blog is just 1 month old and adsense wasn’t approved because they want a six month old blog/site for India.
