Widgadget - Create and Publish Your Own Widget

Viral marketing is one of the most effective ways to spread the word about your blog and services. Now Widgadget makes your content viral by letting you create your own widget in three easy steps.

How To Create Your Own Widget?

  • Sign up Widgadget. Note that there are three options: bloggers, business, and advertisers. By default you should select bloggers. However, you may also want to advertise your services by creating your own widget. In that case you better sign up as advertisers.
  • After completing sign up process, you will notice create your widget button on the right up corner.
  • Click on it, and follow the necessary steps.
  • Widgadget lets you create your own widgets with your desired text color/background, and links them back to your blog.
  • After finishing the design process, you are also given an option to share it with others via networks like Netvibes, Facebook, MySpace, Blogger, iGoogle, WordPress. You may also embed the widget code, and publish it on your own blog.
  • I must also warn you that Widgadget is still at BETA stage. I faced with some problems while trying to share my widget on some networks. However, it is still a great viral marketing tool for bloggers. All we need is to be patient for a while.

Benefits of Having Your Own Widget

  • Bloggers desperately seek for link exchange. The easiest way to have links to your blog is to persuade other bloggers on publishing your widget. The more bloggers do it, the more links you will have.
  • Arrange an award or charity organization for bloggers, and create a widget. You will be amazed to see how many bloggers will be linking to your site in a very short period of time.
  • Your widget is listed according to its category at Widgadget, where other members can easily find it. This can increase the viral effect.
  • All in all, you can create a web or desktop widget in a few minutes, distribute it, publish it in the main social networks, and promote it in their gallery.

After you sign up, pay a visit to my widget SearchForBlogging. Maybe I can get a few backlinks too, who knows…

This is great! I know you can create your own widgets in places like widgetbox and similiar, including scroll boxes for your blog content (which can be shared on other blogs/sites, or where you can select a huge number of different types of widgets and tailor them (eg adding tailored RSS audio players), or add a ‘cat that purrs and plays with your mouse!”, or ‘online interactive painters (I have gone a little overboard with my widgets I think - hehe)

But I don’t think any of these sites have the full social media sharing capabilities as widgadget does. So I will definitely be looking into this, thanks :)

Widgets are the way of the future for sure. Heading over to Widgadget, but will be back soon.
