If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I gave a short break for my Tips For Improving Your WordPress Skills series right after WordPress 2.5 is launched. It was because 2.5 version was not stable and came with a lot of bugs. I am very happy that as of today WordPress 2.5.1 is launched. According to the news sources this version comes with a lot of bug and security fixes. However, to be on the safe side I will follow the reliable blogger’s comments on WordPress 2.5.1 before I upgrade.
If you download the entire 2.5.1 release, you will be getting over 70 other fixes. 2.5.1 focuses on fixing the most annoying bugs and improving performance. Here are some highlights:
- Performance improvements for the Dashboard, Write Post, and Edit Comments pages.
- Better performance for those who have many categories
- Media Uploader fixes
- An upgrade to TinyMCE 3.0.7
- Widget Administration fixes
- Various usability improvements
- Layout fixes for IE
I checked what has already been said for 2.5.1 version in the Web. Here they are:

By the way, which version of WordPress are you using at the moment? If you are still using the old version, what keeps you away from upgrading?
