What is a Blog Carnival ?
A blog carnival is a networking tool that creates awareness of all the great content created by bloggers within a certain niche. Each week the carnival moves to another blog and it is that blog owner’s job to write the carnival post, which links to all the best content created by other bloggers that week.

As a blogger you may submit your original content to the carnival to help increase the exposure of your blog.

BlogCarnival.com is the main source. You can find hundreds of blog carnivals listed in this blog.

How to Participate?

Let me tell you about my experiment. After writing a good article, I log-on to blogcarnival.com, and look up the most relevant carnival. Then i submit my article.

The carnival submit form sends a preformatted email to the person hosting the carnival that week, including data about my submission.

If the person hosting the carnival finds your article interesting and relevant, chances are your submission will be included in the blog carnival.

This is my second carnival participation. So far i have only sent my best shots, and have not been refused yet.

What are the benefits?

After i participated in this carnival, i received 5 links to my blog in a week. The links were coming from my target niche, therefore they were more valuable.

Develop a habit of writing good content, and then submitting them to a relevant carnival. You will not see a big change in your blog’s traffic, however you will get a link from another relevant blog, and every link counts!
