Home Office

Time is your most valuable asset as a blogger. You need to work as efficient as possible if you want to succeed. You should not waste your time with computer related problem. Just like your car, your computer also requires monthly periodic tune ups.

How To Make A Periodic Tune Up For Your Blog:

I recommend you to use CCleaner, a freeware system optimization and privacy tool which removes unused files from your system. It allows Windows to run faster by freeing up valuable hard disk space.  CCleaner also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. The best part is that it contains no Spyware or Adware!

  • Download CCleaner
  • Install CCleaner, run it, and reboot your system
  • Make sure all programs and software are shut down before you start tuning-up process
  • Clean the unnecessary files that CCleaner finds
  • After you make sure your system is cleaned by CCleaner, you should run Registry Issues Cleaner (written as Issues on the CCleaner panel) This is an advanced registry check for problems and inconsistency. It checks following problems:
    • Uninstallers
    • File extensions
    • Shared DLLs
    • Fonts
    • Help file references
    • Icons
    • ActiveX controls and many more…
  • After you have finished above steps, now it is time to defrag your hard drive. Go to Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Defragmenter
  • After your computer finishes defragmentation, reboot your computer
  • Do this once in a month, and you will notice an improvement in your computer’s performance and speed.

FriendFeed

Did you know that with every received comment your blog’s SEO is improving? How about you? How popular are your blog posts? Are you writing great articles everyday, yet getting only a few comments just like majority of the bloggers?

What a disappointment! No worries, I have a very good news for you.  You should immediately start using WordPress FriendFeed Comments plugin to increase your blog’s comments. Developed by a young Turkish developer Gurkan Oluc, the plugin automatically submits your WordPress blog posts URLs into FriendFeed, and in return shows all received FriendFeed comments under comments section of your blog posts. It allows you to show FriendFeed comments in your blog, and helps you increase your blog’s popularity.

Who is Gurkan Oluc?

Gurkan is a web developer from Turkey. He has been blogging since 2006, and he likes developing WordPress related software. He also likes developing Web applications using PHP and JS. He developed FrienFeed Comments plugin to help bloggers increase their popularity by increasing interactivity with their readers. Gurkan is only 19 years old, and he wants to be a software engineer in the future.

How the Plugin Works?
