Easy, no problem, all you need is a WordPress plugin. I use Popularity Contest. You may also trace the popularity of your blog posts via Google Analytics. It provides much deeper keyword analysis. The more deeper, the better. This will help you when trying to find suitable affiliate programs.

How Can You Find Affiliate Programs?

There are two great sources where you can find the affiliate programs that are related to your most popular blog posts:

• Clickbank
• Affiliate Scout

Try to be as specific as possible when looking for affiliate programs. The right affiliate program doesn’t have to be  hundred percent related with the blog post, but do not put a diet program’s affiliate banner on a post about financial crisis. It won’t make any sense at all.

There are so many affiliate programs available for bloggers. However, not every blogger can really make good affiliate money. You will find below a few tips which will help you get the best results from any affiliate program.

• Analyze and find the most suitable affiliate programs for your audience.
• Always give an honest review of  an affiliate product. This will certainly help you get the best results. Do not talk about the strengths only. You should mention the weaknesses as well.
• Increase your blog’s traffic. It is definitely key when it comes to make money with blogs.
• Always link the good quality affiliate products money can buy. Do not sell bad quality and cheap products even if you have more chance to make money.
• Make your affiliate marketing timely. Focus on special days like Valentine’s day, Christmas, new year’s eve, etc.
• You should be transparent. There is no need to hide it from your readers.

Amazon Associates

Amazon Associates is one of the biggest affiliate programs. It is active since 1996. Once you have signed up to be an Amazon affiliate, you can place links to Amazon on your blog which contain your own unique tracking ID. When one of your referrals purchases a product, Amazon pays you a percentage of the sales.

The program enables you to target Amazon products that are likely to be of interest to your readers including books, electronics, kitchenware, etc. Depending on your blog topics there may be at least one product on Amazon that your readers might consider buying which in return you will generate some commission.

How To Use Amazon Affiliate Links

• Write a review of a new product or book, and place an affiliate link within the text that points straight to the product page on Amazon.
• Showcase products on your blog. Your blog’s sidebar is the best place. You may choose a specific product, or use a widget that randomly displays products.
• Take time to look around the Amazon Associates members’ area to see what’s available.

• Go to http://affiliate-program.amazon.com/join/
• Click on the Apply Now link, and fill out the registration form.
• Log in to the Amazon Associates members‘ area.
• Click on the Build Links/Widgets link under the Tools menu.
• Find the Product Links widget, and click the Add to your Web page button.
• Search for the product you want to sell.
• Click the Get HTML button next to the product you want.

How To Use An Amazon Widget in WordPress

• You can paste the HTML code into a text widget in WordPress.
• You are done!
