I usually buy for only one year because who knows what could happen? As well, I tend to buy domains at a time when cash seems kinda stretched (personal problem, haha). I think if you know that you can maintain the site for years, then investing in a long-term domain name is a great idea.

I wasn’t aware that it affected SEO. Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to use it in the future.
