All Time High Visit Record In March

I am glad to inform you that SearchForBlogging.com broke an all time high visit record with 11,830 visits in March 2009. Compared to February 2009 (despite the fact that February was a short month) there is 37 % growth in my blog’s traffic. I will later address this record in detail in a separate post, but I would like to take a snapshot of this performance increase.

Since December 2008  I have been applying some very basic SEO techniques to my blog. I think finally my efforts started to pay off. How do I know this?

Because my blog’s search engine traffic has increased significantly during  this period, and reached 44.56 % of my overall traffic. In other words almost 45 % of my blog’s traffic is coming from search engines. Almost 1 out of 2 visitors are from the major search engines.

What does this mean?

For me it means less time spent on social media sites for the promotion of my blog posts. Because I got enough traffic from the search engines. I spent my time for the preparation of new blog posts rather than begging for thumbs up or digg. This is a very nice improvement.

This is something I have been waiting for so long time. Imagine you get an ever-increasing, targeted traffic from major search engines like Google and Yahoo. This is the dream of every blogger. Having said that, I also know that it is not enough. I will be working hard to increase the ratio.

I am still analyzing the results. I will soon write another post including my findings so that you can learn from my own experiences. I just wanted to share the good news with my fellow readers…
