I told you before about eTohum meetings. For those of you who have never heard of it before let me summarize. eTohum is a platform aiming at associating investors, professionals and companies with young entrepreneurs who have ideas about the new economy.

Last week I joined another eTohum meeting. Above photo has been taken during the meeting. This time we met Mert and Cem Hurturk, the owners of Octeth.com. Octeth is a company located in Istanbul, Turkey. As you can easily imagine Mert and Cem are also Turkish. Octeth has four main products: Oempro, Sendloop, PreviewMyEmail, and Wridea.

How Wridea Evolved?

Hurturk brothers have told us the story of their new product Wridea. Basically Wridea is a free online idea management and collaboration service. The funny thing is that no one knows that Hurturk brothers developed it for themselves at the beginning. They were in need of a software to organize their ideas, and they built Wridea for themselves as an online idea management service in 2006. A few weeks later they noticed that their server which Wridea was located crashed. They did not understand what was happening. And then they read good things about Wridea on some very popular blogs. They realized the true potential of Wridea, and started to improve it.

Today Wridea has almost 30,000 members. Hurturk brothers do not have a revenue model for Wridea yet. However they are planning to develop, and sell it as a solution to corporate level companies.

Conclusion:
