How To Show Related Posts In WordPress
Posted by Mert Erkal on Apr 18, 2009 in Blog | 7 commentsEvery single day bloggers are fighting for one holly goal: “attract potential readers“. How about providing more content to your potential readers so that they spend more time on your blog?
This is possible if you also show them the “related posts” just below each post. Even though there are various plugins so as to show related posts, almost all of them are too technical to setup for majority of bloggers.
I did not know that it is also possible to show related posts without using any plugins until I read How to show related posts in wordpress without plugin. I inserted the code mentioned in that post into my blog’s single.php, and now I can show related post to my readers.
If you haven’t done this little setup before, you better make this immediately. I have already seen the positive impact.

Thanks for link back Mert.
Appreciate that.
You are welcome Harsh. You deserved it. This little code made my day!
What’s the code you use for the email newsletter submission button?
Mert,
On my site with thesis theme for wordpress, there's hooks to easily manage things like that. Anyhow, another helpful method used by bloggers, is to link to others posts on your site which overlap to your current post topic. Practice being more conscience of linking out to other bloggers, as well as yourself. Again, nice work Mert and congrats on the new site design.
Thanks Miguel. I also tried Thesis theme for my blog. But it wasn\\'t so easy to make it suitable with my current requirements. But it is a good choice for you Miguel. It is really a good idea to link to other posts that overlap current post topic.
From one bootstrap entrepreneur to another – just read your about page and very inspiring story Mert, thanks for sharing it!
Thanks Brian. You are always welcome!
