Every now and then I see very good blogging contests in the blogosphere, and I always dream of making my own sooner or later. Due to this, I am very honored when Marcus Hochstadt invited me to offer a prize for its Hochstadt.com Party Contest

I thought about what to offer to the winner for 30 seconds, and decided to give an invitation to May 2008 Bloghology. The winner of the contest will be promoted in May 2008 Bloghology and reach to thousands of bloggers.

Actually Marcus was willing to celebrate his blog’s breaking top 50,000 ranking in Alexa with the contest. However, as I informed you before, Alexa changed its ranking methodology this week, and his blog’s new ranking is 174,666 as of today.

I think Marcus has already done a great job by organizing a contest worth $7000. I don’t think it is a good idea to be dependent on 3rd party ranking systems at all. Their ranking changes quite often. A blogger’s popularity and audience are the best rankings in the long run, and it is quite obvious that Marcus has a great community and blogger friends.
