If you want to make money with your blog, the easiest method you can try is affiliate marketing. First you need to find out which blog posts are the most popular, and getting the highest steady traffic. After identifying your most popular blog posts, you should look for relevant affiliate programs that you can place their banners or text links on these posts.

How To Identify Your Most Popular Blog Posts?

Easy, no problem, all you need is a WordPress plugin. I use Popularity Contest. You may also trace the popularity of your blog posts via Google Analytics. It provides much deeper keyword analysis. The more deeper, the better. This will help you when trying to find suitable affiliate programs.

How Can You Find Affiliate Programs?

There are two great sources where you can find the affiliate programs that are related to your most popular blog posts:

Try to be as specific as possible when looking for affiliate programs. The right affiliate program doesn’t have to be  hundred percent related with the blog post, but do not put a diet program’s affiliate banner on a post about financial crisis. It won’t make any sense at all.

I personally use the post-plugin library popular posts plugin, and wordpress.com stats to track my most popular posts (simpler to analyze).

I’ve tried affiliate marketing and I think using popular posts is a great way to get started.
