A new free report has been released today. It is called the The Attention Age Doctrine and it’s by Rich Schefren.

Rich teaches about successful business with his coaching program. I found his report on Web 2.0 Marketing quite informative. It is good food for thought indeed. I am quite motivated on blogging after reading the report.

What is Web 2.0?

The report gives us the essentials of Web 2.0 Marketing. Have you ever wondered what Web 2.0 is ? Let’s have a look at what Wiki says for it:

“Web 2.0 refers to a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services — such as social-networking sites, wikis, and folksonomies — which aim to facilitate creativity, collaboration, and sharing between users.”

I guess it is more clear now. Web 2.0 is all the great tools we have online now to communicate and collaborate with people; like Facebook, Digg, Stumble Upon, and blogs and blogging platforms of course!

Web Marketing 2.0

What it in it for me?

The report talks about the importance of social communities and how businesses have to deal with them in a better way to be successful in the new Web 2.0 era.

Report also mentions that people are changing their attitude towards who they trust. The number one trusted source now is people just like you. This can be a trusted blogger in our case.

As bloggers, we all should aim to be viewed as a “trusted friend” by our readers, which is why this report and Web 2.0 Marketing is important for us.

Rich says that if you can establish your blog as a leader or even just build a small readership, you will have lots of options for making money. Cool!

Download the Report

I strongly suggest you to download the report. It will take a few minutes of you, yet you will feel yourself happy after reading it as a blogger. You may realize that why you need to be on top of Web 2.0 as soon as possible. Also you will learn the tactics and strategies on how you can do this.

I certainly agree with what Rich says. We all should learn how to survive in Web 2.0 world. This is essential for ultimate success in making money blogging.

What do you think? Knowledge grows when it is shared. I will be pleased to receive your comments after reading the report.

You use RSS (Really Simple Syndication) to syndicate or subscribe to the feed of a website, blog or almost any media content online (not just articles, it can be music, video or almost any digital media). By syndicating you subscribe to the feed of the site which means you do not have to go visit the website to read the latest content. Instead you use feed reading software or a website to read the latest articles. Instead of going to each of your favourite sites individually you can collect all the feeds of the sites (provided they make them available) in one place. The purpose of syndication is to therefore make it more efficient for you to consume your favourite content. If you are not into the technical side of the Internet your don’t need to know much about XML. It’s basically the formatting language that software and websites use to distribute the content to your feed reader. If you know nothing about HTML then you probably don’t really need to know much about XML either. Just understand that behind syndication is the language XML.

What does RSS solve ?

RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually. You ensure your privacy, by not needing to join each site’s email newsletter. The number of sites offering RSS feeds is growing rapidly and includes big names like Yahoo News.

For a more detailed coverage, i strongly suggest you to check my mentor Yaro Storak’s article What is RSS and How Do I Use It? More info can also be found at WhatisRSS.com

What is rssHugger, dude?

rssHugger

rssHugger is developed by Collin LaHay, an experienced entrepreneur, search engine optimizer, and internet marketer. rssHugger is a unique website that aims to bring bloggers and readers together. rssHugger aims to provide blog owners with a unique easy-to-use way to promote their blogs by sending them traffic, building backlinks for search engine optimization, as well as attracting new rss subscribers if the content is interesting to the reader. rssHugger aims to help visitors be able to easily find blogs that write about subjects they are interested in. These subjects include: internet marketing, making money online, charity, sports, gambling, and many more. If the visitors find a blog that they had not previously heard about, they can easily add it to their RSS readers or bookmark it.

Collin’s goal is to to sign up 250,000 free blogs within the first year of operation. With over 112 million registered blogs, with about 175,000 new ones per day, he feels this goal is possible.

Frankly speaking, this target can be seen a bit aggressive, yet can be achievable. We shall always bear in mind that the growth in internet businesses are exponential (simply you have potential to triple your subscribers and income in a few months) On the other hand Collin has just started; there is only 161 RSS feeds available at the moment. I don’t see this as a weakness of rssHugger. On the contrary, i am very happy to take up a good seat and position before the train gets too crowded. First come, first serve…

How does it work ?

A blog owner writes a review about rssHugger (Who they are, your opinion, suggestions, etc), and registers his blog on rssHugger.com. Then they manually review all blogs/reviews to ensure that their website only hosts quality blogs.

All in all, i think if you are stuck with the same number of RSS subscribers for a few months, you might speed up the process with rssHugger. With this review, hopefully i will be hugged by rssHugger soon. No doubt i will write an update about it sooner or later . Wish me luck and stay tuned with my RSS feeds!

(Note: TechSmith, the developer of Camtasia Studio, has withdrawn this offer. They still encourage you to test out a free 30 day copy of the latest version, Camtasia Studio 5. I have listed alternative free screen recording video software for you here Free Screen Recording Software)

This holiday season is very generous. I am glad to inform you that there is one more amazing software you can download and start using for free. Techsmith are giving away free downloads of their video screen recording software Camtasia Studio 3.

I am sure those of you who already aware of Camtasia started thinking that it is an old version. Yes, indeed it is an old version. Yet it is still workable for the beginners. Probably Techsmith expect us to upgrade to a newer version. Anyway, it is still a good idea to try the software free for a while and then decide on upgrading.

What the heck Camtasia Studio, anyway ?

Well, let’s start from the basics. Just like audio with podcasting, video and “vlogging” (video blogging) can create huge traffic for your blog. Using video as a source of traffic is all about one thing – viral marketing. Using just a simple web camera and a distribution service like YouTube is all you need to get started.

You can keep things very simple and just sit in front of your web camera and teach, play music, or create a visual tutorial, or record something funny, sexy, unusual, or beautiful. If you can relate the content to your niche the traffic will be targeted, thus helping retain a good chunk of the new visitors.

Camtasia software program records screencasts. It’s very simple to create screencasts and if your niche is in an area where you can teach using your computer, Camtasia and programs like it, offer a very easy way to get into video.

Camtasia

If you are interested in Camtasia, then you can start using it in three easy steps :

Step 1

Download the software from this link, and save it on your desktop.

http://download.techsmith.com/camtasiastudio/enu/312/camtasiaf.exe

Step 2

Go to this page, enter your name, country and e-mail address. Techsmith will then send a software key to unlock the program.

http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia/pcpls.asp

Step 3

Install the software and then insert the key to unlock it and you will have the full working version of Camtasia Studio 3.

I have already downloaded and started discovering Camtasia. First impression is quite good. I would like to publish some videos to my blog by using Camtasia. I am not sure whether you can bear with my horrible voice. Will you ?
